Slow Rise Team 5

About Us

'Lymphian' is a design proposal by four University of Auckland Architectural Studies students for the SKYRISE City competition as part of the Design 4 paper. The competition requires 1:1 scale construction of a skyrise with base of 2x2m and a minimum height of 8m . The blog will be documentation of our design ideas and processes leading up to the final exhibition for Auckland Architecture Week 2010.

If you have any questions or would like to support us in our project, please contact us at lymphian(at)gmail.com

SLOWRISE for a Fast Forward World

SlowRise skyrise design brief requires us to explore the idea of biomimicry and sustainable design and produce an architectural proposition that is an abstraction of nature for a man-made urban context. Our material palette is restricted to plant and animal based materials and recycled materials.
